Brain Guardian Labs, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Stillfade mobile application (the "App"). We built Stillfade on a foundation of "Compassion First," which means we believe your data is a liability we do not want to hold, not an asset for us to sell.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. By using Stillfade, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. The Core Promise

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not build a profile of your behavior to sell to third parties. Our business model is based on supporting the app, not exploiting the user.

2. Information We Collect

A. User-Generated Content (The "Moments")

• What: Photos and videos you create using the App.
• How it works: When you send a moment, it is uploaded to our secure temporary storage (Cloudflare R2) so your recipient can view it.
• The "Vanish" Rule: All User-Generated Content is automatically scheduled for permanent deletion from our servers 24 hours after creation. We do not retain historical archives of your private messages.

B. Device & Usage Data

We may collect limited technical data essential for the App to function, such as:

• Device type (e.g., iPhone 15)
• Operating system version (e.g., iOS 19)
• Crash logs (if you have opted-in to share these via Apple)

C. Contact Information

• Identity: We do not require you to create an account with a password. We rely on Apple’s "Sign in with Apple" or device-level authentication to verify you without storing your personal email on our marketing lists.
• Waitlists/Support: If you voluntarily email us or join a waitlist, we store your email address solely to contact you as requested. We do not sell this list.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data strictly to:

1. Deliver the Service: To transmit your video/photo from your device to your recipient’s device.
2. Enforce Safety: To block abusive users if reported (using anonymized identifiers).
3. Maintain Stability: To fix bugs or crashes.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use trusted third-party infrastructure to keep the App running. These partners are selected based on their security standards:

• Cloudflare: Used for secure, encrypted temporary storage of media files.
• Apple: Used for payment processing (In-App Purchases) and distribution (TestFlight/App Store).

5. Data Retention & Deletion

• Ephemeral Media: As stated, media files are deleted from our servers automatically after 24 hours.
• Account Deletion: Since we do not require traditional account profiles, there is often nothing to "delete." However, if you wish to purge any potential metadata associated with your anonymized ID, you may contact us at the email below.

6. Children’s Privacy

Stillfade is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
